I always enjoy staying at this place when in the area; it's a fantastic small hotel with a beautiful location near tourist attractions.

We booked japanese-style room that was complete with a private bathroom and a big window as advertised. An electric kettle and a fridge were a huge plus. It had great and top location, just next door to Fuji-San, bus stop and museum and boat service.

The staff were fantastic and awesome. Super location near the cable car and wharf, with views of Fuji mountain, the lake, and Mount Fuji. I felt safe at Hotel Asafuji. Fortunately, it was conveniently close to Fujiyama Cookie, so I could enjoy pastries there when the weather was cloudy.
